Dr. Krug graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2007. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2012 from The Ohio State University College of Optometry with magna cum laude honors.

While in school, Dr. Krug was awarded the Community Outreach Award for Clinical Excellence in recognition of her outstanding community service and dedication to patient advocacy. She also held leadership positions in numerous organizations, such as President of the American Optometric Student Association at Ohio State, Vice President of Optometry Ambassadors, Treasurer of Beta Sigma Kappa International Honor Society, as well as membership in many other organizations.

Dr. Krug is a member of the American Optometric Association and the North Carolina State Optometric Society. She is licensed to practice optometry in North Carolina and South Carolina.

Dr. Krug is committed to providing quality eye care in all areas of optometry for all ages. Her training has included rotations in primary care, low vision, contact lenses, ocular disease, and pediatrics. She provides comprehensive eye care including the management and treatment of ocular diseases such as glaucoma and dry eye. Dr. Krug has a specific interest in contact lenses, including specialty lenses for the treatment of ocular diseases such as keratoconus. Dr. Krug looks forward to helping you and your family with your eye care needs.

On a personal note: Dr. Krug is originally from northern Wisconsin and recently moved to Charlotte to enjoy the warmer weather and friendly pace of the south. In her free time, she volunteers with Hands on Charlotte and enjoys getting involved in her local community. She also enjoys golfing and other outdoor sports, watching football games (Go Bucks!), and traveling.
